This page is maintained by the Olio Cooking team to explain what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Olio Cooking ("we", "us") provides an AI-assisted recipe, meal-planning and grocery app on the web and mobile stores.
Information we collect
- Account data: email address, and — if you sign in with Google or Apple — the basic profile fields those providers return (name, avatar).
- Content you create: saved recipes, meal plans, grocery items, and chat prompts you send to the AI assistant.
- Device & usage data: app version, crash logs, and basic analytics used to keep the app reliable.
- Advertising identifiers: when you use the mobile app, Google AdMob may access your device advertising ID to serve ads (subject to your OS-level consent, including Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt).
How we use it
- To authenticate you and store your recipes, plans, and lists.
- To generate recipes, nutritional info, and chef responses via our AI provider.
- To display ads that keep the app free (mobile only).
- To diagnose crashes and improve the product.
Third parties
We rely on Supabase (auth & database), Lovable AI Gateway (recipe & chat generation), and Google AdMob (mobile ads). Each processes data under their own terms.
Your choices
- You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Account settings.
- You can disable personalized ads through your device's OS-level settings.
- You can request a copy of your data by contacting us.
Children
Olio Cooking is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from them.
